Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026

1. No lock-in

Garage Manager is operated by Tunelo (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/298503/07), a private company incorporated in South Africa. There is no minimum term, no fixed-term contract and no cancellation fee on any Garage Manager plan. This policy explains how to stop a paid subscription and what happens next. For money back, see our Refund Policy.

2. How to cancel

Either method below is equally valid, and neither requires you to give a reason, sit through a retention call, or serve a written notice period.

  • In the app. Sign in as an owner or admin and go to Settings → Billing, then choose “Cancel subscription”. It takes effect immediately and you will see the date your paid access runs to.
  • By email. Write to support@garagemanager.co.za from an address on the account and tell us you want to cancel. We acknowledge within one business day and confirm in writing once the subscription is stopped.

If your workshop is on a grandfathered or founding rate, the in-app button will ask you to contact us instead. That is deliberate, not a fault — those subscriptions are cancelled by hand so the rate you were promised is not lost by accident if you come back. Email us and we will action it on the same terms.

3. When it takes effect

We stop the recurring payment immediately, so no further amount is taken from your card. Your paid features stay switched on until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel a monthly plan on day three, your workshop keeps its full plan for the rest of that month; if you cancel an annual plan, you keep it until the anniversary date, unless you are within the fourteen-day window in the Refund Policy and ask for the balance back instead.

4. What happens to your data

Cancelling does not delete anything. When the paid period ends, the account switches to read-only: every client, vehicle, job card, quote, invoice and service record stays exactly where you left it and remains viewable and exportable, but creating and editing new work requires a plan again. Nothing is erased for non-payment, and you can subscribe again later and pick up where you stopped without re-entering your workshop's data.

Closing your account entirely is a separate request. If you ask us to close it, you may export your data within 30 days, after which we delete or anonymise your records as set out in clause 6 of our Terms of Service.

5. Invoices your customers have already paid

Cancelling your subscription does not claw back or affect money your customers have already paid you through Garage Manager. Payments that have settled to your bank account stay settled. What stops is the ability to issue new online payment links, because that is a paid feature. Any refund you owe a customer on an invoice they already paid is dealt with under section 7 of our Refund Policy.

6. If a renewal payment fails

A failed payment is not treated as a cancellation. We retry the charge and let you know so that you can update the card. If it still cannot be collected, the account moves to read-only rather than being closed, and you are not billed for a period you did not receive.

7. Cancellation by us

We may stop a subscription where an account materially breaches our Terms of Service — for example using our notification systems to send unsolicited marketing, or reselling the platform without written permission. Except in cases of severe abuse we give reasonable notice first. If we end a paid subscription for any reason other than a breach by you, we refund the unused portion of what you paid.

8. Deleting your data

Cancelling and erasure are separate requests. If you also want the personal information we hold deleted, say so and we will action it under the Protection of Personal Information Act, as described in our Privacy Policy. Note that records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes are retained for the statutory period.
