Service history per vehicle
Every vehicle keeps a record of the work done on it. When a regular comes back, you can see what you fitted last time and when — useful for the next service interval, for warranty questions, and for spotting a repeat fault.
Where to find it
- Open the client, then open the vehicle.
- The vehicle’s past job cards and invoices are listed against it.
- Open any one to see the parts, labour, and notes from that visit.
It builds itself
You don’t maintain service history by hand. Every job card you raise against a vehicle, and every invoice that comes from it, becomes part of the record. The more you use GM, the more complete the picture.
On the workshop floor: a job card’s Past Work tab surfaces earlier work on the same vehicle while you have the car in. So the mechanic can see “we did the timing belt 18 months ago” without digging through paperwork.
History follows the vehicle, so keep the registration and VIN accurate when you add it — see Add a client and VIN decode.
