Multi-mechanic sessions (PRO)
On PRO and ENTERPRISE, more than one mechanic can be clocked onto the same job card at the same time. Each runs their own session, each tracks their own time, and all of it rolls into the same labour total when you invoice. It is how a two-person engine job bills correctly.
How it works
- On FREE, a card allows one running session at a time — the single-user assumption.
- On PRO and ENTERPRISE, sessions can run in parallel, and you can start a session on behalf of another technician.
- Every stopped session is summed on convert, so two mechanics at one hour each bill two hours of labour.
Assigning a session to another tech
- Open the job card. Starting a session normally clocks it against you.
- To clock it against a different mechanic, assign the session to them — only owners, admins, and managers can start a session for someone else.
- Each mechanic’s session shows their name, start time, and once stopped, their elapsed time.
FREE tier: there is no “start for another tech” on FREE — the plan assumes one person, so there is no one else to assign to. Upgrade to PRO to track a team on a single card.
The mechanics of starting, stopping, and how time turns into the invoice labour line are the same as a single session — see Start, pause, and complete a session.
